Dekker Vacuum Pumps

Looking for some advice from Dekker Vacuum pump users. Is anyone using the 25 HP on a 5'x10'? I've seen where some have a 40 HP and running that much HP sounds costly, but I want to make sure I can hold parts as little as 10"x10". I also know that you can get to a certain point with vacuum and more doesn't mean better. I will be running mostly sheet stock.
Thanks!

We are running a 40hp Dekker on a 5' x 12' Busselato CNC... We don't really have trouble with hold down until parts are around 6" x 6". Being that your table is only two feet shorter, I'm not sure if a 25hp would be sufficient. Just my two cents...

We are running a 5x12 with a Biesse. We went to onion skinning when we turned up the FPM, it's a 40 hp Travini. I would venture to say - live and die by the rule of never enough vacuum. We will be putting a vfd on it very shortly for the accross the line starts

With small parts Onion skinning allows for max hold for the longest time, if you are cutting thru then cut all small parts first then large. VAC is a strategy not a fact.

While I understand the "never too much vacuum" mentality, cutting strategy can go along way to reduce the vac need. We run 2 Becker 10 hp pumps on our 5X8. One pump is down and and I am in no rush to get it back up and running. The reason for the 2 pumps is redundancy more than the extra power. We cut 2.5"X 12" toe kicks in one pass with the 10 hp all day long. As long they are not at the front edge.

If you contact me I think I can come up with some solutions in saving the vacuum you already have.
