Router-CIM & Keyhole Cuts?
9/19/16
Currently I have three Komo 3-Axis CNC Routers, two with 12' tables and one with a 20' table. I am using Router-CIM 2006 to create g-code for the machines to run off of and would like to continue using the same software for the machines. However, we have recently started a new product line that requires keyholes for assembly and a new cutting cycle to do so. I would like to know if anyone has previously used Router-CIM or has any experience creating the code for keyholes.

So are you drawing 3-D in autocad as this sounds more of a drawing issue? If you draw a key-hole heli-lead ID upspiral bit to clear then tool change to a typical dovetail w/ leaders coming into and out of the bottom (big) side of the key looped around to create negative draft angle at top? It could be a block to drop into drawings but if your looking for lisp routine or g-code block to drop into existing g-code I'm not your guy.
My gut tells me if your running three of these awesome machines your dropping new construction / fasteners into production set-ups?
I ran the same set up from 2006 - 2011 for small sized contract furniture co and now a one-man band where 1mm is close enough vs .003". I miss all the drawing and programming and making one-piece flow set-ups for furniture parts but the one-off world is not so bad either.
Best of luck
