My scm rep has invited me to an open house in april to see this new nesting router that he claims is amazing and I have to see. Does anyone know anything about it? The model is x200.

Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. I have a Scm nesting machine and Scm can’t fix it so not sure who you should call if you have issues. I was thinking of calling a Biesse tech to see if he could fix a Scm.

Jeff the x200 is a awesome machine, with the dynamic table vacuum it has a cut speed of 50 meters per min with nothing moving even small parts.

The claim of achieving 50m/min is silly
You do not have enough travel to achieve that speed with acc/dec to account for

You can program any speed you wish but you will not achieve it

Looks like a standard open gantry machine with a flat table. I've had SCM/Morbidelli CNC's in the past. For budget machines, they can be useful and fill trucks with product, just like any other. 50M per minute is not all that fast, but the key is tooling. You would need some 4 flute tools that aren't cheap and if your parts are too small to ever hit that programmed speed, you are wasting money on tooling you cannot utilize. Anyway, if you are shopping, good for you and good luck!

There is only one side to this story, the $14 battery went dead and some of the perameters were lost. Scm cannot get it to run properly, end of story.

The X200 is the like the new Busellato Master RT, except with better software and better support.

but if its only because they can close the area that not use ,it bulshit
vacuum its not like air pressure
vacuum you have limit ,its max 1 bar,but actually its 0.7-0.85 depened pump(dry or wet)
so even if you put 100 pumps ,and close each cm2 you cant pass this power
if you add the fact that you also loose power because the spoil board you can understand that the only way to cut small parts in one pass its to calculate the correct order of the parts ,and the lead in point,always try not separate the part that you cut ,until you final its cut
we use that rules for 2 years ,we can cut very small parts ,always one pass never use onion skin
one or max 2 vacuum pump(300m3/h)
