Hello. My kremlin is about 2 years old. The large lower ball is constantly getting stuck and not allowing my unit to spray. I have taken apart many time and cleaned and examined this area and all looks clean and good. Sometimes it will work fine but lately it works less often without me taking it apart and messing with the ball. I have replaced the 2 o rings on the cylinder in this area. Has anyone had this problem before and found a solution. The ball and the metal unit it sits in are clean and unmarred. Any help is appreciated.

the orings are not a part of the issue, if you pump is not priming are you using the inlet filter on the siphon hose, ? when you remove the ball from the cage are you seeing a build up on the seat or the ball or like any chunks, perhaps these might be coming from a build up inside your siphon hose even though the hose has a teflon like hard liner in side, once in a while i will take a large bottle brush and run it up inside the siphon tube the metal part. a

also are you using a heavily pigmented coating if so are keeping it agitated and also check if you are getting solids building up on the bottom of your five gallon pail

those are a couple of things i do when i get into one of those double stroking issues with my pumps

Yup, crap coming up from the pail is usually the main reason you get the ball to malfunction. I've had it where a sticky flake wraps itself around the ball and won't let it seat properly. Also possible that the tube or hose that goes from the pail to the Kremlin needs a serious cleaning.

Maybe try some GLC-10 line cleaner in the whole unit. But you have to make sure to do a complete cleaning with this or you will get lose crap dislodging from the hoses afterwards.

1st thing I'd do would be to use the filter that came with the Kremlin on in inlet tube. If that solves the issue it is coming from the pail. If it doesn't more likely it is flaking off the inside of the inlet tube.

Clean the area of the tube where it connects to the pumps piston area. Sometimes paint will build there and flake off.

I really do a crappy job of keeping my pump clean and I don't have many problems with it. Just run thinner through it at the end of the spray session and I'm done. I don't care if it's not clean thinner coming out (it's new going in). I know worst comes to worst I'll be cleaning the Teflon piston ring because paint buildup has accumulated in the inside of the Teflon cup. This results in a piston that's hard to move.

Soak your parts in a ultrasonic cleaner too if you have one.
