Iam spraying chemcraft 2 k poly. Shop conditions are prety good. Spraying it on maple and medex. Using there pigmented bianco. After about a week I did a scratch test and it just peals off and chips off once you break the surface. Even some sides you can scratch off with you finger nail. You can see some primer on the wood and the back of the chip that broke off. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I did notice it flashed off pretty fast. Using a medium reducer. I don't know if I over sand the primer. Using 180. Says 280/320. Not sure if that would change anything. The top coat looks like it bonded to the primer. I use the same sanding methods with the clear 2k with no issues. Wood is sanded to 150 before priming. I attched one pic I took of a hole I drilled with a new bit. This is minimal.

I suspect its the medex/primer bond. What was the primer? The surface does not appear to be well sanded because of the roughness of the finish.

The surface was maple sanded to 150. That was the top coat it wouldent lay flat. The primer lasted really flat but the top coat didn't. I ended up getting a medium reducer and it helped. The primer was there high filling mdf primer. It was tinted grey by my distributor. Here's another picture.

When you zoom in, the finish looks like a mess. Orange peel and dust in the finish. First I would check your wet film thickness of all the finishes you put on. Check with the Y2K supplier for compatibility with the primer. They may tell you pretty good isn't good enough for shop conditions too.

The Primer was the correct primer for the topcoat. I felt like I couldn't get it to lay good like i do the regular clear 2k. Spraying with a AAA. I'm assuming its to thick and I cant lay flat enough and i'm putting to much finish down. iam sanding the substaight to 150 like it says on the sheet. Do i need to go higher for sanding the subsite? Also is sanding with 180 between coats not fine enough? I blow these off in my booth and cant feel any dust and then spray. Other then this Pigmented 2k finish I don't have any other issues with finishing.
