Our 24" widebelt sander has the right side of the feed table .5 mm lower than the left. Any suggestions how to correct it or if someone has instructions in a manual. ?

Hi Dave, please find the following instructions from our instruction book. This is for a (4) jack screw configuration but would work if you have (2).

If the conveyor table is not level. Check the 4 elevation screws located under conveyor table. Loosen their lock screws.Turn elevation screws by using a wrench. Turn it clockwise about 20 degree for raising the conveyor table about 0.16mm. Turn it counter-clockwise
for lowering. Adjust front and rear elevation screws simultaneously.

Critical thought for a 4 post leveling:
Locate the four jack points on the top of the bed. Loosen the lock nuts on all four. Find the highest point of the four. If the highest point is an outfeed jack, then the other outfeed jack is its mate. This should level the bed left to right.

Repeat with the infeed jacks so they measure equally side to side. This sounds like a single head machine. If a two head, then the each set of 'side' jacks have to be brought in to each other.

One important thing to remember is to always come 'up' on the threads when adjusting so as to have gravity working for you. Do not back down 'just a bit' unless you over do it generously, to insure tension on the threads as you come back up to the setting you need.

Like most machine work, a bit of critical thought and a mental walk thru will usually set you on the right path.

Ok that all sounds good. I will attempt all this today. Sorry I did not post pics but it's an older Canwood single head 2 post. Still works great. Funny in that we upgraded from a hand held belt sander to a dual drum POS to a used Canwood. Each step is wonderful until we discover the limits of the machine. Wonder what's next? Lol

2 post leveling is simpler, but there may be a mechanism/adjustment for front/back at the top of the two posts at the bed connection.

Good observation on the stepping up and limitations. Always true for me except for the Weinig Quattromat I bought some years ago. Exceeded all expectations.

The Butfering sander was fine also,but the dealer (Stiles) replaced head bearings 3 times in the first year. They never went bad, they were being proactive. It was a great machine also that exceeded expectations.

Are you saying its slightly off or about 1/4" off? If slightly off our 36" double head Time savers will sag 1/8" when support block is remove to change belts The fine tuning is done at that block Same on my AEM single head

Keith that is exactly what it was. I added a .25mm shim under the block and she is dead on now.
