Fleece back vs Kraft back on edge banding

Not quite veneering but it as close as I can come within the different forums.

I don't have a bander and use the hot melt glue backed rolls of edge tape. Can someone tell me the difference between a fleece back vs a kraft back?

Is there an advantage to one vs the other, do you use them for different applications?
